Women and Girls’ Education Task Group

By the Centre for Better Ageing

Bristol Women’s Commission’s Women and Girls’ Education Task Group brings together representatives from schools, colleges, academy trusts and universities to identify and address educational issues impacting girls and women in Bristol.

Co-Chaired by Marian Curran from St Brendan’s Sixth Form College and Laura Benyon from Redmaids’ High, the group organises events, information packs and campaigns to promote equality for women and girls and provide the support they need to thrive.

Current members include: St Mary Redcliffe & Temple, Orchard, North Star Academy Trust, Cabot Learning Federation, Oasis Brightstowe, Cotham School, Notton House Academy, St Bede’s, Badminton, Cajigo, University of Bristol, City of Bristol College, UWE Bristol and Bristol City Council.

Watch Amanda Coffey, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UWE Bristol, talking to us on video about women and girls in education for International Women’s Day.
